We need a homegrown and experienced champion on City Council to meet the moment.

Amid unprecedented federal aggression against immigrants and people of color of all statuses and backgrounds, we need a fierce advocate in City Council to call things as they are.

Evelyn has worked her entire career in organizing efforts to protect immigrant communities, working to keep families together, advocating for those who have been taken without due process by immigration officers, educating the public on their constitutional rights, and seeking to codify these rights in local ordinances.

Her experience in this work is longstanding and far-reaching, having advocated in the Oregon State Capitol for students, acted as the campaign manager for Portland City Councilor Angelita Morillo, and worked to pass landmark legislation on LGBTQ+ rights.
